A Squirrel's Tale

The forests and countryside of South West Scotland provide the backdrop to the story, home to a colony of red squirrels that have lived peacefully here for generations under the watchful eye of the Lord of the Sky – Maker of all things. One day that tranquillity is shattered when Rusty (the main character) witnesses the brutal murder of a small outlying Clan of Reds by a marauding army of invading grey squirrels. Abaddon, the ferocious leader of the Greys has come North with his hordes, set on killing all red squirrels once and for all. Vastly outnumbered, it will be up to Rusty and his friends to galvanize the Clans to overcome all odds and make one last stand to fight for the very survival of their species.

Truly an excellent book for readers young and old alike. A gripping story that really draws you into their world. Incredibly convincing yet also a sharp reflection of our own. A suspenseful and swiftly paced story, A Squirrel’s Tale follows closely in the tradition of another classic fantasy Watership Down.
The Prairie Drifter - Volume 1 Journey of Discovery

Set in the American Mid-West circa 1870's, The Prairie Drifter is an animal fiction story about wild Mustangs, featuring a reluctant hero named Star.

Among the wild horses of the American Prairies, there is a Prophecy, forgotten by all but a few, that one day a special one will come. On a grey stormy night, a young foal named Star is born, into a world where greed and power have destroyed all that is good. The old storyteller believes that this young horse is “the One.”

Forced to flee for his life, the colt is hunted by those who wish to keep their power…

Follow him, on his treacherous journey of discovery in a quest to save his kind from the evil Shade who now controls all the Prairie herds.

With the help of Goran, the Wolf, Migisi, the Eagle, Kara, the Mountain Lion and Flying Hawk, a Native American boy, the young horse will eventually travel to the far Frozen Seas to meet the Great Wise Bear, discover his true powers and return a proud Mustang of the Plains.

He must eventually summon all his courage to face the destiny he was born for; to conquer those that drove him away.

All the brooding fascination of mythology...cunningly interwoven with reality
The Prairie Drifter - Volume 2 The Long Road Home

The concluding part of The Prairie Drifter Saga.

Star, a young Mustang, is hunted by a ruthless leader, Shade, who has killed Star’s father, Abrazo, and now wishes to kill him, and thus bring an end to any hope of an ancient prophecy coming true.

Shade’s war to control the Prairie herds is almost complete. His Zellats roam the lands oppressing all who oppose him.

Yet, there are some who cling to the hope that an ancient prophecy will still come true.

Set free by Flying Hawk, son of Chief Brown Elk, Star, is persuaded by his friend Migisi the Eagle that he must go north to continue his quest. So, the lone stallion heads off on his treacherous journey to the frozen seas in search of the great wise White Bear. From there he must travel west across the snowy peaks of the Great Mountain to find the mystical Guardians of Arion, an ancient Order, where he hopes to discover his part in this prophecy. It will demand a greater sacrifice than any creature has ever faced, but with the help of Goran the Wolf, Migisi the Eagle, Kara the Mountain Lion, and his band of friends, the young horse will discover his true powers and return a proud Mustang of the Plains. He must eventually summon all his courage to face the destiny he was born for; to conquer those that drove him away and bring peace to his world again.

Brimming with gutsy excitement that leaps off the page and straight into the imagination.
